The Seahorse and the Crab returns home to the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia on April 25 & 27, 2026 with performances of the original chamber version of the work, commissioned by the Philadelphia Orchestra Association in 2010. Earlier in the 2025-26 season, Hermit the Crab made appearances with the Santa Rosa Symphony and the Charlotte Symphony, who presented the orchestral version of the work.
Brooklyn Art Song Society has commissioned a new vocal work slated for premiere in June 2026 by soprano Laura Strickling and pianist Michael Brofman. Strickling previously recorded Three Teasdale Songs on her Grammy-nominated album Confessions.
Lullaby-Nocturne, for solo piano, is released as part of the Curtis Institute of Music's "100 for 100" project. Watch pianist Claire Huangci's premiere performance here. The project also features the Two Fantasies for string trio, commissioned for Curtis on Tour and premiered in 2023 in concerts in Athens, Berlin, and Madrid.
